Verb Meaning in Hindi

Parts of Speech का ही एक भाग Verb है Verb का हिंदी अर्थ क्रिया होता है क्रिया को कर्म भी कहा जाता है verb का इस्तेमाल English language को समझने के लिए किया जाता है

Because , Verb का इस्तेमाल किसी भी sentence (वाक्य) में किया जाता है

Verb Describes the Action or the State of Object.

Definition In Hindi ;-

क्रिया वह है जिसके माध्यम से Subject के कार्य की अवस्था का पता चलता है।

पहचान ;-

जैसे की हमने आपको ऊपर बताया है की Verb किसी भी Subject के द्वारा किया जाने वाला कार्य है

जब हमे किसी वाक्य से उसके Verb का पहचान करना हो तो हमे उस वाक्य के subject से यह पूछना चाहिए की, उस वाक्य का subject क्या कर रहा है

तो हमे मिलने वाला उत्तर ही Verb होता है

For Example;-

• सीता गाना गाती है।

यहाँ पर subject यानि कर्ता कौन है “सीता” और सीता क्या करती है,

तो जवाब है की सीता “गाती” है अर्थात इस वाक्य में गाती है एक verb है जो की सीता के द्वारा किया जा रहा है

एक दूसरा उदाहरण

• Ram is dancing

इस वाक्य में subject क्या कर रहा है तो जवाब है की Dance कर रहा है अर्थात “Dance” ही इस वाक्य का verb है

Kinds/Types of Verb Meaning in Hindi

हम आज के Article में कुछ ऐसे verb पर चर्चा करेंगे जो की English Grammar के मुख्या धारा में है

Verb को form (रूप) के आधार पर दो भागो में बाटा गया है जो की इस प्रकार से है

1. Finite Verb
2. Non – Finite Verb

1. Finite Verb

Definition; – A Finite verb is a verb that changes its form according to the tense of the sentence, the number, and the person of the subject. It is the main verb of a sentence.

परिभाषा ;- ऐसा verb जो वाक्य के Tense के अनुसार या subject के person के आधार पर अथवा number के अनुसार अपने रूप (Form) को बदल लेता है वह Finite Verb कहलाता है

Finite Verb तीन चीजों से बंधी होती है

# Tense

इसमें वाक्य के Tense के अनुसार Verb का form या रूप बदल जाता है

For Example ;-

Sachin Plays Cricket.

Sachin played Cricket.

आप इन दोनों के Sentence में देख सकते है की कैसे Verb ने अपने आपको Tense के अनुरूप बदल लिया है

# Person

इसमें subject के person के अनुसार Finite Verb के form में बदलाव आता है

I like Pizza

He likes Pizza

यहाँ पर पहले वाक्य में I यानि की 1st person का इस्तेमाल किया गया है तो इसमें Verb को Like लिखा गया है

किन्तु दूसरे वाक्य में He यानी की 3rd person का इस्तेमाल किया गया है तो इसमें Verb को Likes लिखा गया है।

अर्थात subject के person के बदलते ही Verb की form भी बदल गयी है

For Example;-

# Number

इसमें subject के number के अनुसार Finite Verb का रूप बदल जाता है

For Example;-

She is Plays football

They play football

पहले वाक्य में subject singular number में है तो यहाँ पर Plays लिखा गया है

जबकि दूसरे वाक्य में Subject Plural number में है तो यहाँ पर Play लिखा गया है

जिसका अर्थ यह हुआ की Finite Verb का रूप subject के number के अनुसार बदल जाता है

A. Principal/lexical/main verb

Definition in English;-

A principal verb is the verb that provides information and is used to express action. it functions as the main verb of the sentence.

For Example ;-

He gave me a book.

यहाँ पर gave जो की give की past form है और यहाँ पर Action को represent कर रही है इसलिए gave यह main verb है

B. linking/Copular verbs

Definition ;-

A linking verb connects the subject of the sentence to a word or a phrase & gives information about the subject.

Some Linking Verbs ;- Be (is, are, am, was, were), Become, look, seem, grow, taste, appear, feel, get etc.

For Example –

They are students.

यहाँ पर are एक linking verb है क्युकी यह subject को एक ऐसे word से जोड़ रहा है जो की subject के विषय में information दे रहा है।

C. Auxiliary verb / helping verb

Definition in English ;-

Auxiliary Verb are the verbs that are used to help the main verb to express its meaning in accordance with tense or mood.

यह दो प्रकार की होती है यह इस प्रकार से है

• Primary Auxiliary verb
• Modal Auxiliary verb

a. Primary Auxiliary/Helping verb

यह इस प्रकार से है

Be;- is, are, am, was, were, be, being

Have;- has, had, having

do;- does, did

Note;-

• यदि वाक्य में एक ही verb हो तो वह main verb कहलाएगी
• यदि किसी वाक्य में दो या दो से अधिक verbs है तो सबसे अंत वाला verb , main verb कहलायेगा और अन्य verbs helping verb कहलायेगा।

b. Modal Auxiliaries (modals)

यह इस प्रकार से है

Shall, will, can, may, should, would, could, might, must, ought to , should to, dare, need.

Note;- Modals का प्रयोग सिर्फ Helping verbs के रूप में ही किया जा सकता है मैं verbs के रूप में नहीं किया जा सकता है|

2. Non-Finite Verb

Definition in English ;-

The Verb which does not change its form according to the tense of the sentence or Person or Number of the subject is called a Non-Finite Verb.

परिभाषा हिंदी में ;-

ऐसा Verb जो वाक्य के Tense या फिर Subject के person या number के अनुरूप अपने रूप को नहीं बदलता है उसे हम Non-Finite Verb कहते है

For Example; –

आप यहाँ पर देख सकते है की कैसे Finite Verb का form subject और Tense के अनुरूप बदल रहा है

किंतु का रूप Subject और Tense के अनुसार नहीं बदल रहा है

यह 3 प्रकार का होता है और इसे Double Part of Speech भी कहा जाता है।

A. Infinitive –

Definition in English ;- The Infinitive is the Base of Form of a verb, often Proceeded by “to”

परिभाषा हिंदी में ;- Verb के base form को Infinitive कहते है, इसमें verb के पहले ज्यादातर “to” का इस्तेमाल होता है।

Imp Note;-

• जब Verb के आगे “to” का इस्तेमाल किया रहता है तो उसे Full Infinitive कहते है।
• जब Verb के आगे “to” का इस्तेमाल नहीं किया जाता है तो उसे Bare infinitive कहते है।
• Infinite का इस्तेमाल Noun Adjective Adverb की तरह भी किया जाता है
• यह sentence में subject object complement किसी भी जगह पर आ सकता है।

For Example ;-

My dream is to Purchase a car .

यहाँ पर to Purchase एक infinitive है क्युकी यह verb की base form हो जिसका इस्तेमाल Noun के रूप में Complement की जगह पर किया गया है।

My brother gave me a cake to Eat.

यहाँ पर to eat एक infinitive है क्युकी यह verb की base form हो जिसका इस्तेमाल Adjective की तरह किया गया है।

My Teacher came to teach me English.

यहाँ पर to Teach एक infinitive है क्युकी यह verb की base form हो जिसका इस्तेमाल Adverb की तरह किया गया है।

She need not stay here.

यहाँ पर stay एक infinitive है क्युकी यह verb की base form है कित्नु इसमें To का इस्तेमाल न होने से यह एक bare Infinitive है

B. Gerund

Definition In English ;- when the use “-ing form” of a verb as a Noun, it known as Gerund.

परिभाषा ;- जब हम verb की “-ing form” का इस्तेमाल एक noun की तरह करते है तो उसे Gerund कहते है

Imp note;-

• इसे Noun की जगह भी इस्तेमाल किया जाता है जिसके कारण इसे verbal noun भी कहा जाता है
• इसे भी subject object complement की जगह noun के रूप में “-ing form” में use किया जा सकता है
• ध्यान रहे जब यह noun के रूप में “-ing form” में इस्तेमाल किया जाये तभी यह Gerund कहलायेगा।
• जब verb + Ing का प्रयोग एक क्रिया की तरह हो तो उसे Gerund नहीं कहेंगे।

For Example ;-

Teaching is my hobby.

यहाँ पर Teaching Gerund है क्युकी verb की “ing form’ का use किया गया है और इसका इस्तेमाल noun की तरह subject की जगह पर किया गया है

I like Swimming.

यहाँ पर Teaching Gerund है क्युकी verb की “ing form’ का use किया गया है और इसका इस्तेमाल noun की तरह object की जगह पर किया गया है

My favorite hobby is Singing.

यहाँ पर Teaching Gerund है क्युकी verb की “ing form’ का use किया गया है और इसका इस्तेमाल noun की तरह Complement की जगह पर किया गया है

C. Participles

जब हम Verb की -ing form या Verb की 3rd form का प्रयोग क्रमशा Continuous Tens या Perfect Tense बनाने के लिए करते है या adjective की तरह करते है तो इसे participles कहते है

Present Participle

जब हम Verb की -ing form का प्रयोग Continuous Tens या एक adjective के रूप में करते है तो यह “Present Participle” कहलाता है।

For Example;-

He is Sleeping
यहाँ पर sleeping present Participle है क्युकी यहाँ हम Verb की -ing form का प्रयोग Continuous Tens बनाने के लिए किया जा रहा है।

Past Participle

जब हम Verb की 3rd form का प्रयोग परफेक्ट Tenses बनाने के लिए या एक adjective के रूप में करते है तो यह “Past Participle” कहलाता है।

Lata has gone to school.

यहाँ पर gone present Participle है क्युकी यहाँ हम Verb की 3rd form का प्रयोग adjective के रूप में किया जा रहा है।
